‘A Decade of Disruption’ catalogues the theatre’s formative years which prides itself on being anti-traditional and serves as a tangible milestone to recognise the whakapapa and the whānau who have made it what it is. 

The team reached out to the Basement community to write memories or share script excerpts and photographs from the first 10 years. Once collected, we were tasked to bring them all together. The contributions provided a smorgasbord of content, so it was fitting to spread them across multiple formats, various lengths and binding, with books inside books, foldouts and one case to house them all. The circular diecut hole in the outer case was a figurative spotlight, concentrating attention on one of the many covers positioned beneath it.
