Mexican-born sommelier Edmundo Farrera opened La Fuente as a wine bar and 'shoppe', where customers can taste wine and mezcal, as well as buy to take away. Farrera sources all mezcals direct from small scale, sustainable producers in Oaxaca, where he grew up.

Our objective was to create an approachable, identifiable brand for the bar and shoppe; one which captures the authenticity at the heart of the great wine and mezcal producers. Hand-painted signs adorning the entrance to Cantinas were a direct source of inspiration for the typeface we created, speaking to the provenance of mezcal.
