Maravie brings together French winemaking heritage and the distinctive character of Marlborough, New Zealand. The name combines Mara (garden in te reo Māori) and Vie (life in French), reflecting the meeting of two landscapes and cultures. Positioned at an accessible price point, the brand celebrates the joy, freshness and simplicity of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
The idea centres on a sense of discovery. Guided by the Flâneuse, a solitary figure exploring an overgrown garden, the identity imagines the vineyard as a hidden sanctuary inspired by Marlborough's surrounding flora and fauna.
Illustrator Zoe Gillett brought the story to life through a bespoke scene rich with native botanicals and layered detail. The result is a romantic and unconventional expression of provenance that feels both authentic and full of life.
